No jokes this time: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE GIRL!

Our baby was born today at 9:07 AM.

She's awesome. Doing great right now, breathing on her own, and just amazing her parents by how beautiful and wonderful she is.

Older brother has opted to reserve judgment, but the presents his little sister "brought" him are an excellent start. A right whale, an orca, and a crocodile for our budding naturalist.

Wonderful news, and best wishes to everyone.

But tell me, where do you plan to keep the crocodile? They do grow quite large. I assume the whale and orca can frolic in Boston harbor, but the crocodile...you can't just flush it down the toilet, you know.

Welcome little Casserole Pilgrim Blair !!!!!!!!

(what, you didn't take my suggestion? how about "monkey"? work that in there somewhere? remember, five or six middle names makes 'em sound regal...)

Job well done to the mom!

Nat-

Congratulations!! I hope mother and daughter are doing well- big brother may take a little time... and will surely hug her a little too tight!

Thanks all for the wonderful congratulations.

We are doing well, the wife has finally been able to return home (after two weeks of bedrest/recovery).

And the daughter is doing great. She's amazing.

Big brother is hanging in there, and though he can't articulate it, his actions certainly suggest he's a bit stressed. At least Mommy is home now. He saw her for the first time today, and thought she was "little" and he kissed her feet.

But then the sibling rivalry has begun. He declared on the ride home that the entire back seat is his, and he "WILL NOT SHARE!"

Oi!
