Happy Thanksgivings and Birthdays

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there. Hopefully you're getting to spend it with your loved ones.

As for me, I'll be meeting my new daughter today. After some prematurely broken membranes, it's time to bring this little girl into the world. She's early, at only 34 weeks, but in the grand scheme of things, that mean she'll very likely do great.

And the benefit is now we have an easy name choice. Cornucopia Blair anyone?

Congratulations! I'd been wondering if the radio silence meant you had more exciting stuff going on.

But personally, I vote for "Pharmacopeia."

Congrats and best of luck today, Nat. I was going to suggest "Turkey Blair" but that really doesn't have a nice ring to it.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your (expanding) family.

Congratulations*!!!!! That's great news indeed. 'casserole' Blair? Any takers? How about 'Pilgrim'? Huh? Huh?

*to your spouse of course.

Thanks everyone, but this little girl has a mind of her own.

Everyday she's doing flips in there, and yesterday she was breech, when the day before she was vertex. So it was a no go. We thought the OBs would do a C-section in that case, but they're all content to wait since the baby is very happy and she still has plenty of amniotic fluid.

Apparently, she heard the options for names, and she was having none of that. Looks like she'll be a strong willed as her older brother.

Yeah, breech! I was a breech c-section, and look how I turned out!

Err, stubborn as all get-out, actually. So, good luck with that. Anyhow, good to know that she's staying in there a bit longer--as you say, as long as she's got a home, better in than out. Good luck.

Well, after giving us a little scare, and showing us that sometimes in medicine there are gray areas with no right answer, we decided to have our baby delivered today.

But this little one definitely has a mind of her own, and is following her own beat. Which is fine by me. And like her older brother. Who, while a handful at times, has so much interesting personality that there is never a dull moment.
